  1. I've seen the bongs. You mean the very large smoking things also known as water pipe?

step 1 - put in just enough water to cover the bottom of the pipe, dont use to much water cause you dont want it coming up the pipe and getting your smokeable wet. u can use the same water for as long as you want, but it gets gross. some ppl like to put ice in the bong to cool the smoke.

step 2 - pack the bowl with broken up smokeables, trial and error will help you decide what amount is best for you.

step 3 - if your bongs has a little hole in the side of it cover the whole with your finger.

step 4 - smoke it like a pipe. when you are just about done inhaling remove your finger from the hole you covered with your finger and the bong will empty of smoke

step 5 - and hold, hold, hold, release.

  2. In Tunisian dialect, it is called a Shisha. In English, it is either called a Hookah or a Water Pipe.

First of all, the level of the water has to be higher than the lowest point of the body's tube in order for the smoke to pass through it. Mint leaves and/or lemon slices may be added to the water, and ice may be put in to dramatically lower the temperature, making for a smoother smoke.

OPTIONAL - Cover the bowl with perforated tin foil to separate the coal and the tobacco (it minimizes inhalation of coal ash with the smoke).

Tobacco is placed inside the bowl at the top of the shisha and a burning charcoal is placed on top of the tobacco. Usually flavored tobacco, such as apple or strawberry, is used.

Suck on the mouthpiece of the hose. You need to take a moderately sized breath in order to activate the charcoal at first. You will also need to smoke it almost continuously or else the coal will get cool and not burn your tobacco.

If your coal does get cool, or you find that it is not burning your tobacco properly, you can use little tongs (or anything handy) to reposition the coal.

When one inhales via the hose, air is pulled through the coal and into the bowl. The air, hot from the charcoal, roasts the tobacco, producing smoke. This smoke passes down through the body tube, which extends into the water in the jar. It bubbles up through the water and fills the top part of the jar, to which the hose is attached. When a smoker inhales from the hose, smoke passes into the lungs, and the change in pressure in the jar pulls more air through the charcoal, continuing the process.

Hope this helps. If I can be of any more help or assistance, please feel free to contact me.
