  1. Go to the group site, click edit my membership along the top.  in the next window scroll down and tick leave group then click on save changes and you should be out.  It may take 24 hours to take effect.


  2. the e-mail command does work, thee's just a great big delay and the more you send an e-mail, the longer that server is going to take. you're in limbo- just delete incoming posts and be patient
