  1. i think it's worth it. i have an old 89 truck with 198,000 miles on it that's all i've ever used in it. you can also go longer between oil changes along the lines of 5000-7500 miles

  2. One of my engineers swears by it mostly from its cold start lubrication qualities.  He was a military and airline flight engineer and knows jet and piston engines very well.

  3. I like synthetic for the simple reason my truck starts up well when it's cold out, like below zero.

  4. I  think so. You get rid of the sludge build up or prevent it by using synthetic. I also feel you get more engine protection and an easier start in winter.

  5. it lubricates better and you can go double the miles on oil changes, the only downfall is it costs more and if your car uses any oil or leaks it ,it will use or leak more because it flows so much better.

  6. here my point of view

    if you're doing less then 10000 k 6000 m . a year not worth it

i recomend two oil change a year  no mater what

if u use syn  waste of money but if u do more  yes

regular oil change  save money and repair

    exaple

take u two year to make  10000 k

two year no oil change no good syn or not

  7. I honestly don't think it's worth it. I've seen cars go forever on a non synthetic oil. I honestly think it all depends on how good your oil filter is. Some of these oil filters when they get old come apart and stop filtering so well. Some brands like I think Mobil 1 have filters that say can go for 5k or more. In my Subaru Impreza I usually use Castrol High Mileage and a Bosch filter. Change it out every 3k. Something that is high performance I'd suggest full synthetic. Just my 2 cents.

  8. Personally the regular oil works for me. The synthetic oil requires less oil changes but costs more for the oil changes and oil.

  9. they say if you purchase a new car or rebuilt an engine you should not use synthetic oils untill the break in period of the engine is met other wise the rings and valve seals and all will not seat rite they have to meet a  wear in peroid first  before you can run synthetic oils they say they are mutch better for your engine if you can afford it use it
