Question:

I have been watching the RNC closely, do they have any plans other than attacking Obama and the "elite"?

This convention represents everything I don't like about Republicans, jingoism, anger and attacks. This convention seems scripted and coordinated by Rovian slash and burn politics. What do they have to offer, seriously. Try to respond w/o attacking, simply state what they will do to fix the previous eight years, coincidently, the same eight years that they had a strangle-hold on U.S. govt.

  1. I noticed that too and quite frankly i think its disgusting. When Palins family situation came out you didnt have Obama telling her she was a bad mother or she was this and that. In fact what he said i thought was very sweet of him. He said her family business should be kept private because he knew what it was like considering his mother was 18 when she had him.

I think Palin is a nutter. There is no way my uncle and his family are gonna vote for him. Theyre americans im aussie

  2. No, they don't.

Even Matthew Scully, Bush's speechwriter, wrote Sarah Palin's speech.  That's why it sounded so petty and divisive.

And for those who say that she was just reading what was written for her, I'm sure the pit bull with lipstick could have decided what she did or did not want to say.

I, too, have tried to be objective with this party convention, just like I was with the DNC.

And I'm sick of the attacks, the lies, the fear tactics, and the negativitiy.

That's all they got.  That's all they know how to do.

    Eight is enough.

  3. ship more jobs oversees and more free trade

  4. They don't really have a plan. just more Bush -- oh, and Cheney's secret energy plan. They'll probably keep that too. they lie about Obama's plan, which according to fact check will actually put more money in the hands of Americans -- but you'll never see Matt Lauer or Charles Gibson point out the lies.

The media aren't liberal. They're rich guys who want to stay rich. That's why it's so wrong when Republicans whine about the "unfairness of it all".

So the speech will be more mean spirited attacks. The Republican concept of what it means to be an American is so different from mine. Put up a sign that says "country first," then just attack the whole world, and scare everybody. Yeah... that's very positive.

  5. No. They don't. McCain doesn't have a plan to end the war.  He admits he doesn't know anything about the economy. McCain just like war. We have a rapidly failing economy and people are losing everything, their homes, jobs, families.....the Republican leadership just about destroyed this country.  We need a change and the sooner the better.  Change won't happen over night.  It took Bush and his administration eight years to bring us so deeply in the hole - but it could happen.  The "WAR ON TERROR" effort ( what a joke) is costing us 12 billion dollars a month for what?  Expense to the taxpayer and lose of life and how is this beneficial the the American taxpayer/citizen?  Does anyone feel safer? And this is where Senator Biden comes in people - pay attention. Withdrawal from the Middle East is going to take time and effort and quite of bit of expertise. Senator Biden has extensive knowledge of foreign affairs and is the man for the job.  Now as far as "Family Value" are concern (more Republican speak) how's that working for us.  It's not - with people losing their jobs and outsourcing, the failing economy that is rapidly approaching DEPRESSION status, the lost of life of our American soldiers, etc. We can't afford four more years of the same.  ~:>

  6. they don'tt have a plan, there gonna do what bush has been doing and then some. palin is afuck-inn phsyco and mc'cant is bushs right hand man. it will be **** all overagainn.I'mm a vet, i know Obama is going to be president. its inevitable

  7. Attacking Obama is what they have in their bag of tricks...Truth be told Republicans are more "elite" than Democrats, as they tend to go to Harvard, Yale, Stanford, the preppy colleges, while the smart people tend to go to schools like, oh MIT.

  8. that's their problem. They dont have anything to offer. All I have heard from the RNC is "Vote for McCain, because Obama is not ready" and "9/11 this, 9/11 that."  They're a bunch of, in their own words ,"gun toting, god fearing" I D ten t's.

  9. What would you suspect with the state of the economy, that they're going to brag?
