I have bees coming in thru the cold air return, why/how?

There are bees coming in the cold air return. I found 4 bees in the house yesterday and thought I saw one fly out of the cold air return. Why/how are they getting in and how do I fix the problem? I'm allergic to bees.

If you only "think" you saw a bee fly out of it once then I would not assume that is where they are getting in. It could be just as easily that bee was only in there looking for a way to get out of the house.

You can inspect the ducting and furnace for any gaps where the bees might get in. It's possible but I doubt that is where they came from.

Is there a fresh air return hooked up to the system check that first.
