  1. go 2 d nearby court and  there a lawyer can tell u procedure of changing the name.

  2. it depends on what state or country you're in. in Pennsylvania, you can change it through the department of welfare. there's a cost of $10. in order to do a name change in PA, you must have both parents consent.

all you need to do is a search for "birth certificate" and your state's name. it should take you to your state's health department. usually, you can download and print the form you need to change your child's name

  3. I had to go threw the S.S. office . so you might try that

  4. You wll have to file a petition to change a legal name. Depending on where you live it can be as cheap as $50 or upwards to a few hundred dollars to file the petition. The child's father will be notified and will have his opinion heard on the change. There will be a court hearing that you will have to explain the reason you want the change and the judge will decide if it is allowable. You didn't mention if it is the first name or last name you are changing. For kids judges are more liberable at granting last name changes than first name changes for obvious reasons. Good luck!

  5. I dont know how u can get a New/updated birth certificate but

as for the name, you can use any name you wish, at the time of school addmission of your kid. Becasue in India, class Xth (10th std) certifcate is as good as a birth certificate.

  6. There is nothing to do now .You can call him by any name you like.  When you take him to school you can get it with new name. There you can submit an afidevit for new name. After that you will probabely never need birth Certificate but the School certificate.

  7. why would you want to change your child's name 2.5 years later????

  8. You need to get a court order.  So you'll need a judge to sign the paperwork that is prepared by a lawyer that you hire.

  9. You need to file for a name change in court.
