  1. The spots are behind the glass. There is nothing you can do except have the mirror replaced.


  2. The black spots are where the silvering has come off.  You can have them redone or just live with it.  The silvering on mirrors is affected by skin oils, scratches, age, etc..  I have had mirrors redone and it is not too expensive.  Glass companies usually are the ones to contact for this service or to just replace the mirror which me be the solution for an older mirror.

  3. buy a new mirror its cheaper than repairing the old one.
