  1. I got this from a AARP brochure.Try: General Tours @1.800.858.0908. Tell them what you need, and if they can't help you they probably can recommend someone who can.Good luck to you.

  2. You will be fine, Barcelona is brilliant and very modern and up to date, great for wheelchairs and much more. We go to La Pineda which is the next resort up from Salou, and the area is very good for wheelies, the beaches have ramps too. The buses are good and modern and clean and Barcelona has an underground system which you can use too.

We stop at Estival Park hotel and the swimming pools have wheelchair ramps there too.

    have fun

  3. I heard of a site (and once visited, although not lately) called Gimp On The Go. It's by a wheelchair-bound man who travels alot. Don't know if it's still there and could help you.

  4. Have a look at www.accessiblebarcelona.com/english/cont...

I found it through yahoo by looking for 'Barcelona con silla de ruedas'.

Also look at 'www.bcn.es/english/ihome.htm' and key in 'wheelchairs'. This is the town hall's english website.

I am sure that you will enjoy your holiday. Barcelona is probably the best city in spain for wheelchair users. Even so watch out!

  5. Sorry - can only help you with information on Barcelona .Most visitors stay in or near the Ramblas or in the Gothic Quarter just to the east. This is a good base from where you can explore the city's sights by day including Gaudi's masterpiece, the unfinished Sagrada Família Cathedral, and Parc Güell in the north. Or maybe visit the 98,000 seater Nou Camp stadium the home of Barcelona football club. See http://www.spain4uk.co.uk/places/barcelo... for more detaiols.
