Do price comparisons on Travelocity, Expedia, Priceline and, if you're a member, AAA.  Overall flights are getting more and more expensive, and it seems the earlier you book the better chance you have of getting a decent price.

Easy, go to our nearest independent travel agency and they will check out all the options for you and give you a choice of airports to keep your cost down,  if you are looking for September keep away from the first 10 days as everyone who has spent the summer sunning themselves are on their way back to UK and back to work.  The sooner you do it the cheaper seats are usually available, you do not say where you are but if you are in London area there are flights from Gatwick, Heathrow, Luton and Stanstead.  There are also plenty of fights from the rest of UK
