  1. I can understand why you'd want to cancel the warranty, but it depends on how you pay for it;

    If it was paid for outright at the time of purchase, there's no point in cancelling it - It's paid for, you won't get a refund, so you have no choice. Not a big deal, as you still have the cover.

    If it's paid for monthly, you can usually just inform the warranty company & then stop payments.

    Legal protection isn't really an issue here.

  2. not being rude but your an idiot if you cancel your warranty.  warranties can save you alot of money even though it is a pain to file a claim.. alot of BS

  3. Why do you want to cancel the warranty ??

  4. Legal protection for what? The warranty cancellation, or the car purchase? Small print on the warranty documents will tell you the former. The latter is the Sale of Goods Act which states that goods must be of a 'merchantable quality'. I.e. fit for purpose.

  5. what do you want to cancel....? - surely not the warranty??  can you explain please?

  6. You want to cancel the warranty or you want to take the car back?

    A warranty is an insurance policy and you can't cancel it - what would be the point?

  7. I've always purchased an extended auto warranty for every vehicle I've owned in the last 7 years. In the beginning I used to get them from the dealer, but I've found it's less expensive to get them from an aftermarket company that specializes in warranties. http://www.autoadviceonline.com/Warranty... They offer free quotes, so it's easy to see how much one would cost for your car.

  8. How long ago did you buy the car? If its less than 28 days you can cancel it without any problems.

    By the way a car mechanical warranty is not worth the paper it is written on.

    Ja.
