I have boxing training in about 1 hour, what could i drink or eat for energy?

  1. The best thing would be nothing. At least nothing that makes your digestion work. While digesting, your "parasympaticus"-system lowers your blood pressure and makes you feel tired and lazy. This is the last thing you can use in boxing. If you want to eat before training, you should eat al lest 3 hours before training, so your body can digest and is ready to work and fight. The best thing would be to eat after training.

    Ideal for drinking are isotonic drinks, juice or water. But don't drink a too sweet juice or milk, because they also start your digestion. And no alcohol (weakens your reactions :) )

  2. too soon for eating, but you could try something light with natural energy, banana's are good, dont take much to break down etc, also to drink, just good fresh water, its as good as all those sports drinks, filtered water is good stuff. you can buy portable drink bottles with their own filter in them here in Australia, I'm sure you can where you are too.

  3. An energy bar or half an energy bar and some water. You should eat more like two hours before you start your workout in the future.
