  1. I had braces fdor years when i did volleyball.

you just have to be a little cautious.

    don't worry about your mouth.

you will most likely be hit in the arm more.

  2. Braces don't effect how you play volleyball, so you should be fine! All you have to do is try to set the ball, or if you have to you can dodge the ball. Now, you don't want to get the huge fluffy and padded knee pads. They are most likely to move and then you will get floor burns! I personally use Asics, but i hear that Mizuno make really good knee pads. I wear the Mizuno shorts and Asics shoes and knee pads. Good Luck!

  3. Definatly keep on playing volleyball even if you have braces. Back when i was a freshman, pretty much the whole entire freshman team had braces. And dont be affraid that the ball will come and hit your mouth. That rarely ever happens (even for people who dont have braces.) Dont worry about. Just make quick decisions on the court. If you think the ball is coming to close to your face, use your hands (set the ball up) instead of bumping.

And, the best brand for volleyball knee pads is Mizuno. Mizuno knee pads are excellent because they have shock absorbers for when you crash into the groung too hard. Mizuno is the leading brand for volleyball apparel. Check out the items at Mizuno's offical website or go to www.volleyball.com. Mizuno is my high school vball team's offical equipment brand. It's perfect! :)

    Good luck with your season!

  4. NOOOOOOOOOOO   IF YOU WANT TO PLAY GO AHEAD AND PLAY

  5. well i think you should try to play like practice and try to make sure the ball doesnt hit your face or just dont play for a while.. and well i had them before but i wasnt playing anything but just keep playing or or just quit lol. best i can do

  6. chill, nothing has happened to me (yet)

  7. Just last week at practice we did a drill where its just one or 2 ppl in the middle and u get balls fired at u by the coach and i got packed in the face by one from my coach, i dident really know it hurt that bad till i got off the court and took a swig of my water bottle and it was bleeding a lil on my gums... dont worry about it... if your into the game enough u wont even know it happend... its not that big if a deal if u get hit in the face it WILL happen sometime in your v ball career, as for knee pads try to get the ones that are not bulky they just kinda get in the way, plus u shouldent really need knee pads but i understand if u get down on one knee and u hit it... so the thin ones just incase it skims,,, u should learn how to dive so u dont hit your knees, or work on being faster,,,, good luck,,, try not to be a baby

  8. dont play till they come off

  9. it will not affect your playing

  10. i have braces and they suck but they dont effect you playing.... although i have never gotten a facial as i am a middle      i like kaepa's kneepads

  11. um you wont get hurt so bad tht youll have huge sores in yer mouth. someone served the volleyball across the net at me and hit me in the face. no sores didnt hurt and so on. its no big deal play anyway

  12. Hey hey,I'm a Volleyball palyer with braces and I have been hit many times in the mouth.Nothing happend though!

Just a little sore but that happens to me with or without braces.

  13. why would having something on ur teeth make u play weird?

  14. One of my friends had braces and she got hit hard once on her lips and lets just say she had to pull the skin out of them and it hurt but, if u watch out and be a little cautious about where the ball is going u should be fine.  I play volleyball and it is hard and u r going to have to be able to get bruises and hurt if u want to play.  So i think u should go for it and do ur best and play good.

  15. nope.......i have braces too and i play volleyball i dont use a mouth gaurd either but if u do get hit in the mouth i would prob use one just incase....hope it helps....good luck

  16. kk, i have braces, and i got a mouth guard but i don't wear it...lol! but i got hit really bad once,  it didn't really hurt at all! so if u c a ball coming toward you slap it away(or set it) don't worry you'll be fine!

i  have mikzuno knees pads and they work wonders!they  are flat so you can slide  easiely, and yet they don't hurt!

hope you do good in volley ball!... ♥  xD

  17. Actually, ask your orthodontist for some wax - you place it on the sharp parts of your braces, and you will be fine.  But very rarely do you get hit in the mouth, if at all.

Knee pads:  Asics makes a good type, but my all-time favorite is the Nike knee pads - they are thin, the padding wraps around the entire knee (sides and front), and they stay in place.  It is about the only thing Nike I like for volleyball. . .
