I have braces and it looks like the bottom teeth are not lining up with the upper teeth. Is that normal?

I've had them since November. Earlier in the year there was a slight difference but now it is a major difference! I can't tell whether it's just the teeth moving or is there something possibly wrong. Its freaking me out because if there is something wrong I'm going away for 3 weeks and I don't want to be freaking out over it.

  1. Yep, they'll line up eventually... it takes time.  Don't freak out.  :)  Just let your orthodontist know, and he'll explain it at your next appt.

  2. Omg samesies!! They dont look like they line up either!!! I'm pretty sure they will be fine though after the full 2 or 3 years of our braces.

  3. I think it'll alright in time

  4. Changes are slow, it happens. Good things come to those who wait. Besides, I've experienced worse, I couldn't sleep for a few days worrying about my expander coming off. So chill.

  5. Dude, just let your ortho deal with it. He/She has it under control.  Thats why your paying her/him.

  6. Orthodontists are professionals... I wouldn't stress yourself out, if you have been listening to what the orthodontist tells you and you wear your rubber bands when required then you should be fine.  It is probably your teeth moving, trust me orthodontists dont go to eight years of dental and specialty school for nothing.

  7. i hope thats normal cuz my braced teeth are like that now too...

I've had them since... October (i think)

  8. I have braces too! I think it is just your teeth moving. If you are really concerned though ( and it sounds lilke you are ) I would just call your orthodontist before you go on vacation, to talk to him/her about it and maybe schedule a check up or something like that, Just to make sure everything is okay. Have fun on your trip, and I hope everything with your mouth turns out okay! : )
