  1. you have to wear them whenever your orthodontist tells you too I knew someone who never followed the rules for her braces and ended up wearing them for 3 years when she was only supposed to wear them for a year and a half. It's not as bad as you think trust me I had braces too.

  2. just wear the elastics at school

who's gonna b looking inside ur mouth anyways? -.-

and even if they do, they'll understand cause u got brcaes on.

listening to ur ortho will mean u get urbraces off asap right?

I got my braces on yesterday lol... and my mouth is sore haha

  3. The rubber bands are removable, but you need to wear them as often as your orthodontist says that you should.  It's really not that bad.

You can even get colored rubber bands or clear ones.  I had clear ones.  One caution about wearing clear ones:  They can pick up the colors of the food that you eat.  I ate a sandwich with mustard on in and when I smiled at my mom she burst out laughing.  My rubber bands were bright yellow!  Rinsing my mouth out and brushing my teeth got the color out of the bands.

  4. The rubber bands that I had were put BETWEEN my teeth and were unnoticeable. I doubt it'll be that bad :]

I only wore mine for a while; they help keep space between the teeth .

  5. Just listen to your orthodontist.  My brother never listened and now he's got a mess in his mouth.  He wore his braces MUCH longer than he should have.  If you listen to your doc, things go so much faster and smoother and in the long run, it's just better for you and your mouth.  The quicker you get it over with the better.

  6. I know that the rubber bands sound a bit scary and lame, but trust me, if you wear them religiously, you'll be thanking yourself in the end when you finally get your braces off.
