I have bt broadband but last week my home phone line was not working unless i unplug the line to my computer.

all filters are in place and everything worked well before.If i want to use my phone i have to unplug my bt voyager router lead at the wall socket I then have a dial tone,If i unplug at router end i still dont have a dial tone.

I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM AND HAD TO FONE BT TO COME OUT AND FIX IT, IT TURNED OUT TO BE A FAULT IN ONE OF THE FILTERS I WAS GIVEN.

The answer you will get from BT is to switch off your router/modem for 30 seconds and then test when you restart it. This will frequently resolve Internet access problems, but phone problems are more complicated.

It is correct to say that replacing the filter may resolve your problem, but if you have tried your spare, the only course of action is the BT engineer.
