I have cableone phone my caller id shows the # but says unknow name can anyone help?

the unknown name means that the caller is not someone from your address book. cell-phone caller ID doesn't function the same a home phone caller ID where the last name comes up.

Your incoming calls will only show the caller ID information that has been given to your phone company.

If this is for every call, call your phone company and report the problem.

If this is for some calls, theres nothing you can do.

If you are talking about your outbound caller ID, then call teh phone company.
