  1. Its always better to travel with max time to expiry of passport. Though you can travel now but get it renewed in Canada but I would recommend do it in india and then travel.

  2. you must have a valid passport

    even if you will be living in Canada as a permanent resident you cant get a Canadian passport unless you become a citizen which takes years, so you may as well renew your Indian passport before you come to Canada

  3. Usually Canada Immigration requires your passport to have 6 months of validity in order to enter the country. You might want to call the closest Canadian consulate or emabassy and speak to their consular division to inquire about your situation.

  4. To be on the safer side, you may want to have your Indian passport renewed in India prior to travel. Contact the local passport office
