I have cats and I clean there kitty litter out regularly. What can I use to get rid of the p**p and pee smell

bleach out the box one in a while.

dilute listerine and spray...also works if the kitty pees elsewhere....

Baking soda and  ordinary white vinagar -

If you wash out the box and then wipe it off with Vinagar and then put baking soda down it helps also line the box with newspaper - Put the paper in first and the baking soda on top of the paper -

This way the smell absorbs into the paper which is easily thrown out instead of the box itself -

Then if you place a small dish of vinegar next to the box (don't worry the cat will not drink it ) it will "eat" some of the smell.

change the litter every saturday. it shouldn't smell. scoop on wednesday.

Get a new litter box and mix some baking soda with the kitty litter. If you get the clumping litter you can scoop out the deposits soon after they are made. EVERY time you change the litter wash out the litter box WELL with soap, hot water and bleach. Just cleaning the litter is obviously not enough. There are litter boxes treated with a product called Microban which helps keep down bacterial growth. Other plastics absorb odours which eventually become offensive.
