  1. i think a light brown

    it will be nice

  2. I don't know what red color you have on the sheets (burgundy, bright "candy apple" red, etc.)   But I would suggest using 2 colors in the room, that are toned-down versions of those two colors.

Main color could be a khaki / water chestnut / taupe color, lighter or darker depending on the room size (darker is OK for a bigger room, lighter for smaller one)

Then have ONE wall (either the largest wall or the first wall you see when you walk into the room - or the one the headboard of the bed is against) that is a maroon / burgundy color.

The tan goes very well with the brown, the red goes well with the sheets.  They are all earth tones and work very well together.

    Ceiling should be pure white.

  3. You could still use brown colors, just make sure it's a lighter shade than your bedding.  I would recommend using a light tan and then putting some dark brown picture frames on the wall to sync with your bedding.  I think if you used a dark brown though it would look too dark with your chocolate brown bedding.

  4. Honestly, I think brown on the walls would be too much.  But you could do a neutral color, like a beige, and use brown or red accents, like maybe on the door and window frames, or a border at the top, etc.

Besides, you might eventually want to completely change your bedding, and you don't want to be stuck with a wall color that doesn't go with anything but what you have now.

  5. A dark brown colour on the walls may darken the whole room.  I'd recommend a tan colour, which is a lighter brown, or a neutral beige to offset the darkness of the furnitre/bedding.

  6. I agree that brown would be too much. Beige (milk+coffee) would work nice with both colors. Good luck.

  7. I think yellow would look good.

  8. play around with the Sherwin Williams color visualizer to find colors that you like. It is the best paint visualizer on the web, imho. I like how their color palette is laid out, I like that you can search by color family & color name, the "painted" rooms look the most realistic, and it suggests coordinating color schemes. You can literally spend hours:

I think "ancestral gold" (# 6407) would look stunning with the brown & Red.

You can also take a photo of your house & upload it to the makeover gallery on this website:

You can get color suggestions & they'll photoshop them onto your room so that you can get an idea of what it will look like.

  9. cream would look good as brown would make it too dark.
