  1. Just ventilate the area around the basement stairs and in the basement.

  2. Unless you mixed the Clorox with ammonia you will be just fine.  Chlorine bleach and ammonia should NEVER be mixed.  They form a deadly gas.

Open a couple of windows until the fumes clear.  If you've ever read on the back of mold and mildew sprays for the bath they say open a window or turn on a fan.    You might feel some irritation in your eyes or throat but once things air out you'll be fine.

  3. Ventilate the basement if possible, if not, then open the closest window to the basement. It does have a strong fragrance, which can kill brain cells faster than they can reproduce, the kids' brains are more resilient though. Lucky them.

  4. No, nothing will happen u guys should be fine just try to ventilate somehow and the smell will drift off. I'm guessing u have just cleaned today the smell will be strong at first but will fade. open some windows up-stairs. should be gone or at least extremely less noticable in the morning.
