  1. You shoud contact the agency that handles licensing and request infoirmation./ if you are lucky they will license you by reciprocity. If not, you will need to meet the California requirements which may be somewhat different.

  2. If you are moving to California then you will most likely be required to take an exam. Only a few states train their aides to California's standard.

But all you need to do to get your license transfered by the time you move there is  contact the California state board of nursing asap! A transfer can take anywhere from a couple weeks to a couple months. All states have to be thorough thats why it takes so long, but as with most everything else California kind of has their own way of doing things and they normally take longer. Hope this helps.

  3. If you already are Licensed, Certified, Registered or State Approved in your own State and want to move to another state, you will need to request reciprocity.  This means that you are asking the new state to recognize the approval you received from your home state.  Contact the State registry in your home state and request a "Application for  Enrollment By Reciprocity".  Ask them if you should send  the completed form to them or to the state to which you are moving.  The contact information for the state registry can be found at www.4cnas.com
