I have comcast high speed internet and it keeps going offline and the network goes to local only .?

Every few minutes it will do this sometimes it will stay off for hours then come back . I have reset the modem a man from comcast reset it over the line, i have unpluged it turned of the computer , did system restore ,tryed spyware and adware removing,it all checks out good,ive tryed reconnecting all the lines bypassed all spliters and im clueless now please help!!!!!!!!!!!!

it might be that the ethernet cable is damaged or doesnt stay in place

It could be an issue with your DNS or IP address...

I dont know what OS youre using, so unfortunately I cant give you a step by step option....

but if you know where to find this, maybe you can find out...

Go to your network that your connected to, there should be an option on properties or something that says "details"...

you will see like IP address, dns server, and some other stuff...

If you have an IP address of a 169 and not a 192... then thats your issue.... if you can find out or need anymore help.... email me.
