my dad used to tell this joke about a guy who had a cold and went to the doctor.

When the doctor simply told him to go home, go to bed, drink lots of fluids and take panadol for the headache, he was outraged.

But I'm sick. You've got to cure me!

So the doc thought a moment then said" alright, go home, have a cold shower, don't dry off then stand in front of the open window for as long as you can stand it.

The man said, "that will cure my cold???"

No, said the doctor, but it'll turn into pneumonia and I CAN cure that.

Sorry no miracle cures but it made you smile, didn't it?

because a cold is a virus there is no quick fix to get rid of it but there are plenty of things to help, eating oranges and getting lots of sleep are the easiest solutions
