I have confused why some builder use drywall insted of osb to make outer wall of house?

they use drywall nailed outside of studs, then wrapped with paper(i don't know about that), nxet to them is brick.

  1. Thev OSB board expands and contracts more than the drywall. Thus less chances for thr brick work to fail. The paper wrap is a vapor barrier
