I have connected my Laptop to TV using an S-video to RCA cable, but i am not getting sound only video, --?

could someone tell me how i could get the sound playing through my Tv aswell, currently sound is coming through the laptop only, i have a Dell vostro, and a 42"plasma screen.

check the websites out... one suggest to turn your volume all they way up on you laptop for it to play through your tv. either that, or your cables might be  a bit duff.

s-video is for video only.  To hook up sound you will need a second cable.  I am not familiar with your model of laptop.  What sound connections are there?  

Headphone?  If so use a stereo mini plug to red and white rca adapter.

Digital audio?  If so, use the appropriate connection - either coax or optical.

S-Video (as the name implies) only carries the video signal. You'll need to cable from the audio out of your laptop to the audio in on the TV.  This is generally a stereo RCA type plug on the TV and probably a mini jack (looks like a headphone jack) on the Laptop.
