I connected it to my computer (win xp) and to my optimum cable modem. There are number lights to show if it is connected to my pc according to the number port the ethernet cable is put in.I tried them all and it just doesnt connect to pc my or my pc to the internet. It used to work fine then all of a sudden the thing isnt sending wifi signals or connecting to my pc. Is there certain ports i have to open? Yes I connnected it to the modem as well which also detects if there is activity between my computer and the modem.I connect them directly and it works completley fine I just dont understand.....

  1. go to the admin page, then to the network page, set the wifi router to get an address (dynamic). It may be set for static.

Then click the release, when it zero's out, click the renew.

If you can connect to it, but it does not connect to the www, you probably have a dhcp issue.

  2. Reset your router to the factory defaults.  There should be a small button on the back or underneath the router.  You may need a pen or small object to push it in.
