  1. hmmmm....if you dont gently rub them not all the gunk will be removed off their surface,,,,but be careful rubbing the lens too hard as they can be damaged

I used to use a separate cleaner on mine..then wash them in saline..then heat disinfect

  2. I don't know if it's correct, but I fill my lens case with no-rub solution, then shake the lenses for about 60 seconds.  I wait four hours for the disinfection to complete, then shake again for 60 seconds, rinse, and stick in my eye.  I have to buy extended wear lenses just to get eight hours of wear in a day, so I hesitate to rub them and risk tearing or any premature wear on the lens.

  3. I'm not sure if it's a gimmick, but I know my optometrist said to rub them even if it did say "no rub solution". It definitely doesn't hurt, you know?

  4. You will end up using a lot less solution if you rub them. The "no rub" is just a way to get you to use more solution, and in turn buy more solution. Also if you choose to not rub them you should be squirting the solution for longer than 5 seconds to properly disinfect.
