I have crab grass that has taken over my lawn. How can I get rid of it?

About half of my yard has been taken over with this ugly crab grass. What can I do to fix it and rid my lawn of this grass?

you have to put down a pre emergent weed control early in the spring(Scotts with halts) and then use Ortho Weed B Gone on any weeds after that.

Use crabgrass killer and then rake and reseed with regular grass seed.

growing a dense healthy lawn is the best prevention. so step up your maintenance and water, fertilize, and mow properly. hand pull individual plants before they set seed. appropriate, labeled weed and feed products are also effective.
