I have created a website on my PC for a non-profit organisation. Are they any recommendations for a web host?

I need to be able to upload my pages to the web host. Preferably I would like it to be free of charge for my organisation.

  1. Hi you can use http://jgiff.net to host your website they offer a subdomain but you can get a .com and add it on very easily (and free unlike most)

    Hope this helps you out

  2. Godaddy is bad, Earthlink is the worst host that I know of

    look here: http://www.samwilson3d.com

for a list of Linux hosts that have cpanel

shouldn't cost more than $50 to $90 per year including domain

  3. If you are not using any server scripts, try:

    http://www.t35.com/

There are a few free ones out there, like http://www.t35.com and http://www.x10hosting.com , however you are always registered as a subdomain to their site. (I.E. www.yoursite.t35.com or www.yoursite.x10hosting.com) If you want the goods, you gotta pay...

    Hope I helped! ;P

  4. If you're from the UK I recommend http://www.hosttell.com/one They are one of the leading European hosting companies (hosting over 500 000 websites), and they currently have a promotion in the UK. They are offering free hosting and a domain (You have to pay the £9.50 setup fee and that's it). Every plan includes Photo Gallery, WebEditor (so you can build a website without knowledge of HTML), Google Adwords coupon (so you can advertise your website on google for free) and a lot more. Check them out.

This is a lot better than a free web host, because you get a real website with a real domain name like yoursite.org.uk or yoursite.co.uk or yoursite.org.

  5. awardspace is great just attach your domain to the acount via DNS or just use one of there free domains

  6. Google for 'Christian web hosts'.

Some provide free hosting - just be sure that your site also includes a hyperlink to Jesus.

  7. As you may know a domain name is just a name, not a real website. If you are going to create your website: 1- Buy a domain name. 2- Buy a web hosting service to provide your online space and enable you to get your website online at your purchased domain name.

If you want to start your website I recommend purchase your domain and hosting together. In this way it is possible to get your domain for free. Some hosting services offer this gift today. One of these services is reachable at: http://bluehost-service.atspace.com  This company offers "Free Site Builder" that helps you build your web pages without difficulty if you are not skilled in using any website creating program. (WYSIWYG: What You See Is What You Get). They also offer hundreds of various customizable templates. If you had any question just email me.

  8. http://www.godaddy.com/ for domain

    http://www.vistapages.com/ for host

  9. I would have to agree with who-ever it was that mentioned x10hosting.com

I have just opened an account with them FREE in return for text banners - only thing is, i use the fantasico scripts so hence avoid it on EVERY page.

I have actually recomended these on my site and rated them 8/10 with the only problem is being a tadge slow.

WHAT YOU WANT FOR FREE THOUGH!!!

    ***** DIVERT your own URL/DOMAIN to / or use www.whateveryouwant.pcriot.com   *****

TRY IT OUT - IT IS FREE - AS GOOD AS PAID HOSTING WITH ALL YOU WOULD EXPECT - IF YOU LIKE IT YOU KEEP IT.

    SIMPLE EH?!

  10. www.nameroute.co.uk Get yourself a .com domain (or whatever you want). Providing it is not an e-commerce site it is then totally free hosting. Documentation is excellent.
