clipping from the back and plant them in the front or do i have to buy seeds? not sure whether it is vine or ivy but it climbs well and attaches itself to the walls without support. What do I have to do if replanting what I have is possible? Thanks.

  1. You simply take cuttings with 6 or 8 knodes on it..dig a shallow trench about 2 inches deep and plant in the ditch horizontally, laying flat and cover loosely with the soil...this is better than rooting in water or standing verttically for you will have more knodes buried..as mentioned..be careful of what you plant for vines are notorius for growing up to the roof edge then growing up under your flashing and shingles, causing leaks in the roof and rotting of wood..

  2. Be very wary - you clearly know little about plants and gardeing and you may well be wanting to trasnplant something that will cause you trouble in the future.  find out exactly what the vine is before planting a bit of it in the front garden.

  3. I am not a 'master gardener' or anything like that - just an enthusiast who has a little experience with this....if you would like to try using cuttings to start new growth in another area, it is possible.  But don't just cut and re-plant, or you'll end up seriously disappointed; the best 'trick' is to slip your cuttings into some water that has root stimulator added to it (available at any lawn and garden shop), and wait until you see root growth before trying to transplant.  Just follow the directions on the bottle as far as the ratio of stimulator to water, and watch 'em grow..........then transplant as normal.  Good Luck!

  4. clip and bury works. both me and my neighbor have done it alot. make sure to water it so the grond is damp
