My computer still has a thing that comes on it and say "virtual memory minimum too low" What else can I do? Could this be because I need more GB?

  1. Adding more RAM would fix that, and is probably the best solution if you want more performance. If you just want the message to go away and have it run a tiny bit faster, go to Control Panel and increase the virtual memory pagefile. If you don't know how to do this, search for a howto.

  2. I used to have this problem all the time on my XP machine. A simple RAM upgrade did the trick for me. It made the computer so much faster and never ad that annoying message again.

  3. yes more gb....once ur physical ram is full, it uses virtual memory, so once that is full it prompts u, so i suggest u upgrade to 1-2 gb of ram

  4. do this to solve this issue,  to in crease the virtual memory ,click on my computer, click view system info., click advance, click performance\virtual memory settings, click advance, click change, asign a value bet. 900 to 1900, click ok, restart pc.

to speed up more, the pc, do this, click on my computer, click on the C: drive, click on windows, look for a folder name, prefetch, delete everything inthere, is just another copy of temporary files.

  5. Do you have Windows Live One care?

Sounds like a worm,or trojan. Use one care to scan

  6. add more ramm or get norton 2008 2.0 it make it runs faster

  7. right click on my computer ..open system properties ..click advance ...then performance (settings)..then again advance and click the button "change" below....here you are...add more drives to be included for virtual memory and hence it will be increased..this is for temporary bases...you will need some more ram though for full performance

  8. If you run too many programs or have too many windows open, it'll still give u this msg even if you have tons of ram available.

If your comp is slow in general, reinstall windows. Upping the GB would help of course.
