I have difficulty to call my students' name,,,but just easy to remember their face...?

  1. practice practice

    especially the first couple of weeks...

    when someone raises their hand, dont just say "you"

    try and say their name

    and once the students sit in their seats mentally say each childs name..

    and the polaroid thing sounds cool, but u could get arrested for child abuse, if you dont have the parents permission..

    (besides, u cant even buy polaroids anymore, cept like ebay)


  2. Try name association. Every time you look at one of your student associate that students name with someone else you already know with the same name. For instance if you have a student named Dave. When you look at him you can think David Letterman.  

  3. I use nicknames.

  4. Take a polaroid of each student on the first day of school and write their name on the photo. Take time everyday to go through the pictures so you can associate a name with the face.

  5. Make a seating chart and refer to it often the first couple of days.  It won't take long.

  6. I have difficulty too.

    I have 180 students every day all year.

    It takes me 2 months to get them all straight.
