I have directv and I'm moving to a high rise apartment building. Can I set it up to work through a window?

I did it with my Dish network. I set it up on a table in the dining room and the shot was through the window to the sat. It worked fine but when someone bumped into the table I would have to re-aim it. Dish told me this would not work. They thought they would have to send out a tech every time the table moved. I did this because I was not allowed to put it on the balcony.I know that we shoot the same sat. locations, so if i did it then you can if you have a clean line of site.

So YES you can if you have a clean line of site!

When I moved to I got a job at Dish Network as an employee, not a contractor.
