I have downloaded a virus on my laptop and dont have clue how to fix it?

I have Norton and it says I have no viruses buy I keep getting a pop up asking me to download a tool to remove my viruses and a worm. I tried to put in my recovery disc and re-install windows but it wont allow me. When I connect to the internet my home page flashes then the pop up takes over. Anybody got any suggestions as I would appreciate some help.

Boil the kettle, then pour the water into a heat proof container .. put in the freezer for 10 mins then when thats done take out and pour directly onto your monitor and keyboard that should get rid of the problem. If the problem persists, you then need to smear you screen with jam.

Your computer has got spywares thats why you're get warning and alert messages,you might also keep getting unwanted popup advertisements, you can get rid of this problem by using spyware removal software.Check out http://blog.360.yahoo.com/blog-sAFtLsc8e... for more details.

Download and scan your computer with the the following free software in order one by one, delete what ever they find should leave your PC free of infections:

Try a online virus scan here are some address to try Safety.Live.com...TrendMicro.com...get some protection Comodo.com is offering a complete security suite free and yes they can be trusted if you want to do it yourself I recommend Avira.com along with Safer-Networking.org(spybot search&destory) or SpywareBlaster from majorgeeks.com or Lavasoft.com...MalwareBytes.org is another good one to consider althrough the last two don't offer free protection some even recommend two anti-spyware scanners just to be on the safe side the other bit of advice i have to offer is external firewalls they hardwire to the machine with usb or firewire hook up now thats cutting edge tech.Remember paid is usally better than free however since Comodo.com kind offer that may not be the case anymore
