  1. Is this chronic?  You may have seborrhea or  psoriasis.  Both are skin conditions that are unfortunately not "curable" but symptoms can be lessened with the use of over the counter shampoos (Nizoral is a good one)  Both conditions are also influenced by your stress level.

It is not really dandruff but rather an increased amount of skin cells being created.  Your body is telling itself that it is time to create a new skin cell right there even if it isn't.

  2. well for me i put olive oil in my hair and i keep it there for about twenty minutes every two days, and eventually the dryness goes away, it worked for me, it may not work for you thought..........hope this helps

  3. I've dealt with similar problems my whole life. I think olive oil works well.. massage in hair at night, put a towel over your pillow & wash hair in morning. (Nizoral or tee tree oil shampoo I really like) Are you sure that your scalp is oily? Maybe it's weepy? Are you itching your scalp so hard it weeps or bleeds? Itching can really complicate this problem. You may want to take some benadryl to keep you from itching.. especially during the night when you don't realize your doing it. Oh & you would be better off to cut your fingernails short & keep them as clean as possible & try not to itch.. I know it's hard but, itching really breaks down your skin & leaves you open to infections. You may need to see a dermatologist if it continues. They usually give prescribe a steroid.. which could be a round of prednisone by mouth for a week or so and/or a steroid shot in the butt. I have allergic dermatitis so I pretty well know the drill. There's also a medicine called Derma-Smoothe and you put it on your scalp at night & wear one of those cheapie shower caps, then you take it off in the morning & wash out hair. It really helps too, but kind of expensive. I do wish there were some more healthy ways to treat this, however I get grapeseed oil & apricot oil at the health food store & I believe they really help also.
