I have dual citizen ship both canada and US and i am going to canada soon do i need a passport??

im going to be driving to canada from the us do i need a passport even though i have dual citizenship???

  1. The rules are the same for Americans, Canadians and dual citizens.  You don't need a passport to drive yet, but you will eventually. (Next summer)  Right now you can drive across with a birth certificate and drivers license.  A passport is needed to fly.


  2. If you are a Canadian citizen, (vice versa) you don't need a passport when traveling by land/sea (until June 2009) only a valid picture ID and birth certificate.

    You'll need a valid passport to fly between the U.S. and Canada

  3. if u r a us citizen u certainly dont need a visa to go to Canada but u need proof of US citizenship which is ur US passport...u need to get one if u dont have it because to re-enter the US u need a US passport/visa no matter what...US doesnt believe in dual citizenship.

  4. If you have either canadian or us passport thats fine, otherwise take birth cert and proff of your ID and residence.  ok
