  1. The USA does not recognize dual citizenship.See an accountant for tax ramifications.Filipinos are great people I hope you choose the US.

  2. The USA is the only country in the world that taxes world income based on CITIZENSHIP, not just residency.

So if you DON'T renounce your US citizenship, you will have to pay and file US taxes no matter where you live in the world.

  3. Keep both, my spouse has U.S. (born in the states) and Mexican citizenship. Just talk to a tax attorney about any ramifications.

  4. I say go American to find out how call the local courthouse or go on-line to goggle that should help

  5. You can keep both. Many people have dual citizenship and there is no need to choose.

  6. don't give one up-- it's very useful to have both, if you ever want to move to the other country, or even going there on vacation.  There's no reason to give up citizenship unless you're forced.

  7. Keep the one where you live. Don't you have to pay taxes if you go back to the Phillipines?

  8. you need not to choose one, Philippines does not require that you give up your citizenship, do know that...............keep both , safety and future ,one never knows?
