I am married, but my husband has been supporting me and I haven't had any income in quite sometime. We have absolutely no money to contribute to grad school (let alone our own bills), but I can't find a REAL job without a Masters degree. What can I do????

  1. You'll have to take loans. Most MBA programs offer little financial aid. It's a professional program and the theory is you'll earn enough with the degree to pay back big loans.

Make sure any program you take a loan for is worth it. There are many un and under employed MBAs out there. If the program is not a strong one like Harvard or Wharton, look hard at where their grads go to work and at what salary. Many MBAs are not worth the paper they're printed on. You could easily find yourself still in the position you're in now.

  2. Work a non-real job until you save enough money to pay for the amount the school can't cover.

The money will spend the same.

My first job after earning my Master's was working in the Automotive Deptartment in WalMart.
