I think I look fabulous and that I am so cute and s**y but in reality I am not. Should I just go with the fabulous me or should I get down to earth and be the plain Jane that I really am.

  1. You sure know bdd? that's the opposite of bdd. It's up to you were you want. I'm super jealous that you have self-confidence! while me? I'm the ugliest and my face really sucks like a tiptoe of a socks. I think I'm coming through a bdd problem.

  2. Body dysmorphic disorder is the opposite. That is, people with the disorder will be highly critical of their bodies in spite of being very muscular and fit. They will be disgusted w/ the shape of their body.

What you have is high self-confidence. There is nothing wrong w/ feeling good about yourself. Trust me whatever you lack in appearance (if anything) can be made up for by being proud of who you are. Self-confidence can make anyone s**y! Good luck.

  3. I think if you really had BDD you wouldn't be able to recognize that you had it, and you wouldn't be able to say "Oh, I'll just think this way about myself."  BDD usually involves negative thoughts, and you'd have to go into therapy to get rid of those, or at least alleviate them a little bit.

  4. BODY DYSMORPHIC DISORDER---its when a patient is addicted to surgical procedures for cosmetic purposes, usually in cases like this doctors refers their clients to couch for a good counselling. not under the knife.

  5. what ever makes you feel better.

its your life. live it your way.

dont let anyone tear you down.

its like telling someone that they cant "think" their

    going to conquer their dreams/fears.

no one is allowed to do that.. if soo.. then they

dont have the reasonable right to.

    :)

  6. That's the OPPOSITE of body dysmorphic disorder. Google it.

  7. Do you even know what body dysmorphic disorder is?

It's where you injure yourself through self-surgery and mutilation because you want to force your inner conception of self and outer conception of self to match.

What you have is called "normal teenaged self-image oddities." You certainly aren't body dysmorphic.
