  1. Oh, if you don't tell them they will eventually find out. You can do one of two things: sit down and chat about it, and study harder for the future should you decide to redo this year. Good luck.

  2. First, you have to be HONEST about why you failed.

Did you goof off? Spend time with pals at the pub? Enjoy chasing girls instead of studying?

If you simply failed by a few points (in other words you tried your best) then that's no disgrace and your parents should understand.

On the other hand if you wasted your time and their money better face the music and either drop out and start flipping burgers as a career or, plan to get your S**t together next term - AND MEAN IT.

Don't waste this chance, I blew my chances for Uni, way back when and regret it every day.

  3. There's no good way.  This happens to first year students alot though.  The only thing you can do is tell them the truth.  But I would suggest paying for college on your own from now on either through govt aid and/or a job.  By acknowledging any further schooling is your responsibility, your parents may just decide to let you live. Maybe.

    Good Luck!
