I have filmed something on my digital Camcorder,but now it wont let me finalise the disc?

I have a Samsung VP-DC172W Digital Camcorder,

The finalise option wont work, so it wont play on my computer?

The 'finalize disc' option is only available when the camcorder is powered using the AC adapter...lots of DVD camcorders do this because a disc can be ruined if the camcorder battery runs down while it's finalizing a disc.

Depending on what type of camera you have most wont need to be finalised until they are put onto a DVD disk.  I have found on the DVD writers I have for some reason that option is usually hidden so you will  need to refer to the manual

Another option if you are able is to connect the camera to the computer with a firewire cable and then play the disk while recording onto the computer.  this was how we did it in the old days lol before easily writable disks.

Remember that although finalising means you can play the disk on other player and the computer you wont be able to write any more to it.
