  1. i too damaged my hair badly in the past  i had 6 inches cut off :( it was long but thin and damaged.  its now waist length again :)

i recommend not washing hair every day this really does damage hair.  try using a good shampoo and conditioner i use dr bronners castile shampoo and aubrey organics jay condioner.  stay away from heat and dyes etc.

  2. You're in luck, I have the thickest hair ever and it goes all the way down my back. I use multiple brands of shampoo and conditioner. If you want the BEST you have to go to Sephora and get Ojon. They carry the best hair products especially for thick and long hair. They have special products for damaged hair that will keep your hair soft and silky. It's a bit pricey but well worth it. I hope this helps! P.S. drugstore products like Herbal Essences do not work well or specially at all. Unless you have a really really low budget that should be your last resort. I hope this helps!

and yeah it's true that your not supposed to use shampoo everyday, i always do that i used to skip days of using shampoo.

  3. get the split ends cut off, stay away from straightening irons, curlers and what not and use a moisturising shampoo and conditioner...

also i would recommend not washing your hair every day as this helps with the natural balance of oils in your hair which prevent it from being 'broken'. instead wash maybe once or twice a week. =]

  4. stay away from heat! like straighteners, curling irons, blow dryers.

also get your split ends trimmed off. dont shampoo your hair everyday, and dont condition your scalp everyday either.

    do mine?
