own apartment, without the aid of welfare, I'm supporting myself through my own employment. In light of that accomplishment (It took me 4 years), If I inform people where I use to stay they treat me like trash-dirt.

Is today society, community so prone to constantly, excessively, treated people like trash base on there economic past? and if thats correct, why try to be like the Joneses?

  1. Congratulations on your achievement. Who cares where you used to live and what business it is of theirs anyways?Personally, I don't care where you have been. It's where you are heading that shows real character. You are moving forward and you are doing it on your own with no help. That is admirable and heroic.  A millionaire that gets hooked on drugs and p*sses away their fortune is still a junkie in the end. A person who starts at zero and works their way up is getting farther ahead then they were the day before. And that is to be respected. My hat is off to you.

  2. seriously now..dont try to be like the joneses..they used to live in a homeless shelter.

  3. Congratulations. Find out who is funding the shelter and write a letter to them complaining. No one should be treated horribly because of their economic situation.

  4. 1. Congratulations!!! Getting into an apartment is some accomplishment!!!!

    2.  If a person can only look at your past and not your accomplishments, you now. and your future they are NOT a person you want in your life!

    3.  Your past is your past and you cannot change it, todays society cannot realize this and thinks if someone is once one way they will always be that way.  That is why it is so hard to be accepted in this society!

    Good Luck In Your Apartment!!!

  5. maybe if your name wasnt homless people wouldnt think trashy of you.

  6. Unfortunately, yes it often is. I think that is WHY so many people try to "keep up with" or try to portray a wealth and lifestyle they may not truly be able to afford.

You know what you have accomplished, and you know it's importance to your life; Not everyone else needs to know this. Don't make it common knowledge. Only share it with people

    who have become true friends.

The key word here is PAST. It's in the past so maybe its best to leave it there, so the judgmental jacka$$es  of the world cant hold it against you.

    Good Luck Sweetie
