  1. You can study B.E(civil) or B.tech(arch) or B.Arch.

I think B.arch is more valuble than other two courses.

This course is available in Tamilnadu school of architecture, coimbatore.

  2. Go for AMIE, The Associate Membership of the Institution of Engineers (Popularly known as AMIE) is a professional certification given by Institution of Engineers(India). The qualification can be earned by passing Section A, Project Work & Section B examination of the Institution.

If an applicant passes both sections of the examination, he or she becomes the Graduate of the Institution of Engineers (GradIE). The Indian Ministry of Human Resource Development considers this qualification equivalent to a degree in engineering. GradIE was earlier Associate of IE or AIE (Bachelor's degree of Institituion).

Minimum duration for passing both sections is 4 years, however professionals with 3 years polytechnic engineering can complete it in 3 years since they are exempted from certain examination papers of Section A. One can not appear in Section B without doing project work after passing section A.

  3. Well i do not answer career related questions...but then i feel we are in the same boat....most answerers must have told u do BE...thereafter they will ask u to do MBA...beliieve me my friend this is all waste of time....

Diploma is both a curse and a blessing....curse cause u cannot grow if u end up with a job....and wont be promoted without a degree....if u end up doing a degree....i wont promise what where will u end up but surely can tell you there are vast number of engineering graduates working in "call centres"..simple reason you are paid more there....summary...dont waste your time.... studying....

Take up a job...and see if you can take up subcontractor jobs small and petty works...like repairs,painting,etc...opt instead to be a contractor....you will be much in demand if you are a contractor who is an engineer....remmember in india...diploma or degree both are called engineers....If you should be able to handle contractorship u can take admission in part-time engineering from SPCE andheri...so u also have a formal degree in hand to boast about....

Alternatively ask an engineer (degree holder) graduated some 5 years back for opinion....salaries are not that high as my friends have mentioned here....our govt laws do not make it manadatory for contractors or builders to employee engineers for supervision....so u can see the c**p quality constructions....

My self..a civil engineering diploma holder..couldnt handle contractorship..so made a career jump and qualified as a Chartered Accountant... currently working as a senior consultant for real estate and construction companies....cheers and all the best

  4. I'm sure that you can do Civil Engineering(4 years). Since you have finished diploma, the Engineering Course is 3 years for you. You will directly enter the 2nd year. If you have scored good marks in diploma, you will get Government Seat. Your fees is around 5000/annum. Many Big Corporates like Aditya Birla Group, UltraTech Cement are in demand of Civil Engineers. So you can be paid 6-8 lac/annum as salary. Please don't choose any software/IT job, since it will affect your career. All the best Civil Engineer!
