  1. yes they will die but you may wont to set a bomb off in there to keep the other critters out

  2. Fleas prefer blood but they can also eat dead skin.  And they can live for months without any food.  Plus you got all those flea eggs to worry about.  You should flea bomb your belongings before putting them in storage.  Just to be safe.

  3. I recon they go into a kind of hibernation when there's no food around. I believe vibration wakes them. I think they will survive a year. there is also eggs which wont hatch in the cold, but can survive a long time till the temperature rises. I'd use a pesticide.

  4. Please set off a flea bomb BEFORE you pack your things away.  It will still take about a week to kill everything off, but that should do it.  You need to think about flea eggs, larvae, the whole disgusting cycle.  If you can set off the bomb about a week before, then vacuum or clean any fabrics or furniture before you store it - you'll be glad you did!

(So will any others who may be storing their items near yours....infestation can spread quickly, especially where there's little-to-no immediate food source and the fleas go looking.)

You also should bomb the place you're leaving for whoever is coming in behind you.  The flea problem will continue for someone somewhere (maybe YOU) unless you take some aggressive action.

    Good luck!

  5. They will probably just leave, or flee away.

  6. What about the eggs?  I suspect some of the eggs will survive quite nicely.
