  1. I am a hairstylist and have been for 20 years and I also have very curly and frizzy hair.  The best thing to do with curly hair is to grow it out.  Curly hair get curlier and fluffier the shorter it is.  If you like it on the shorter side then my suggestion is to go with a one length bob.  The longer the better.  The best product there is for curly hair is by Paul Mitchell, it's called soft spray hai gel.  It's also a reasonable price.  I love it and sold it to people because when you use it, it doesn't make your hair crunchy as long as you don't use too much.  Another thing to do is use a clarifyer to clean build up out of your hair at least once a week.  The clarifyer will make your hair super clean and let the products you use work better.  Your coditioner only coats the hair if you have build up and then the hair becomes frizzy.  Buy Paul Mitchell shampoo 3.  Only 1 time a week, no more you'll dry your hair out.  It also helps with tangles because when hair has build up when it gets wet the build up sticks together to create tangles.  To soften your curls use a leave in conditioner before you brush it.  I like the one made by Hemp.  Use the conditioner then the spray gel, scrunch and let it dry on its own.  You'll have a wash and go style with nothing to do but shower and a couple products.  Please try what I said and you'll love your hair.  Have fun!

  2. you should try this hair serum called frizz-ease by john frieda. i usually have frizzy, curly hair in the morning. so i just dampen it and put the serum on. it works great and i can keep it curly.

there are different kinds too, depending on the quality of your hair. you can probably find this at a pharmacy (cvs for example) or ulta. hope it works for you!

  3. wet set it. if you you want to know how tell me

  4. i do too so i know what you mean!!

  6. There is a smoother that more and more hair salons are offering now, it's called the "Keritan", I promise it works wonders. It will not permanently make your hair straight: all it does is take away the frizz and loosens up the curl a bit. However, it is a bit expensive, it usually ranges from about $300-$400, and can also take quite a bit of time, however it lasts for months and for me is sooo worth it. I love it and just got it done for the second time today! It works so well, it really does! It doesn't have any bad or dangerous chemicals, and it's totally safe (unlike Brazilian or Japanese straightening). I love it!

However, if you're not willing to spend the money or time doing this treatment (although it is totally awesome) then try using products like "Sebastian Potion 9", or Paul Mitchell's "Super Skinny Serum" ... you could try putting your hair in a braid or ponytail when it's wet, so it dries like that... it's hard for hair to frizz and expand if it's in a tight braid. You could try thinning your hair at a salon, or getting a shorter cut, maybe something like this:
