  1. congratulations...you're lactose intolerant!  you answered your own question here.  now stop eating ice cream...find a nice soy based ice cream...much better.  and it doesn't taste too bad either!  and go see a doctor to be properly diagnosed.

  2. You are most likely lactose intolerant.  Although it could be any of a number of illnesses, the correlation with ice cream points strongly to an inability to process milk products.  Sorry, but I laughed when I saw the gas and diarrhea!  Haha.

  3. You could have Crowns Disease.... Go to a Doctor asap

  4. Yeah, it sounds like you are.  Do you suffer from any of those symptoms when you eat cheese, or drink milk?  My friend is slightly lactose intolerant, and she'll eat a bowl of cereal and be fine, but later on in the day, she will have all of the same symptoms that you mentioned.

  5. Sounds like you could be. Do you get sick after eating or drinking any other dairy foods? I would make an appointment to see your doctor.

  6. Maybe go see a Dr.

  7. It is probably a couple of things.  You could be lactose intolerant and the milk is reacting in your system.  The other thing may be the ingredients in the IC.  If it has stuff like polysorbate 80 or other preservatives, you could be reacting because these things are used in higher doses as laxatives for relieving constipation.

Also if the IC has somehow gotten contaminated from thawing in the plant, the delivery truck, or the store and then been refrozen, you could be having mild salmonella or other food poisoning.  A sign of this would be large ice crystals in the middle of the IC.

If any of these things are the case, you should throw out the IC and not eat any more.  Try changing brands and stores to see if that makes the symptoms go away.  If they don't go away with changing brands and stores, then you know it is the ingredients and not contamination that is the source of your problem.  If that is what causes it, you can try IC without milk products or polysorbate 80, which should then stop the symptoms from returning.
