  1. I'm glad you asked this. I was looking for the same thing. I don't want to take meds. I've been told to try yoga, running and exercising. Although I have yet to find time to do either. Best of luck to you! I will keep looking back to here what others suggest.

  2. Chamomile tea and st. john wort.

  3. Try a Magnesium supplement.

  4. I have the same thing...i take meds for it though.

  5. the greatest herb in all the world

    marijuana

  6. Check out some of the homeopathic remedies on this site, just go to mental health and mood:

I've done her stress treatments during finals and loved it, and done some of her other ones for skin, etc.  She combines a bunch of different herbs/natural substances into one mix so you aren't taking a ton of different things to get all the vitamins you need to treat the problem.  All of her mixes list the ingredients on her site and explain why they're used.  Its really worth checking out.  Good luck!

  7. You can try Valerian root in capsule form. I also have an anxiety condition and use Valerian. I purchase it online from Puritans Pride and take it as directed. About 1/2 hour before bed 1-2 capsules will help you sleep but the longer you take it, it also has an all over calming effect on the entire nervous system.

  8. In Chinese medicine, anxiety is typically due to Kidney Qi Deficiency and can be resolved with herbal Kidney tonic combinations. Also, purchase some rescue remedy at your local health foods store.

  9. Herbs: kava-kava, valerian, hops, passionflower, chamomile

Amino acids: 5htp, GABA, thealine, taruine

    Vitamins: a good B-complex, fish oil, calcium/magnesium

Lifestyle: yoga, meditation, daily exercise, self-hypnosis, a diet free of sugar, processed foods, caffeine

Programs like "Potatoes Not Prozac" and "The Mood Cure"
