  1. Direct answer: Yes, this is a scam.

Details:  They temp you in many different ways to collect you personal, financial and banking details.

They will also say you have to pay a 'Transaction fee' of some $s and Pounds so that you prize money will be transfered to you account (remember they will get you account details here).

Finally nothing happens except but you end up paying them.

THIS IS ABSOLUTE SCAM.  As people said earlier, just delete the mail.

  2. yessssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss...

if u haven't joined a lottery programm then ofcourse its a scam and newer give out your personal details to such scam or fraud emails.these days identity theft are on the rise and mostly happen due to emails like this.

  3. Yes, it is a scam. Someone in Holland is doing the same thing. Another scam going around is they say they have a relative or friend etc. who has just died and they are trying to get their estate/fortune out of their country but their government is preventing this (or similar). Eventually they will ask for your bank details. If it's too good to be true then it is, "be careful" out there. There are lots of takers out there who pray on innocent people rather than earn an honest living and have a purposeful life and contribute to it.

  4. It is a scam 100%. I get 2 to 3 such mails from British Lottery or UK Lottery everyday. You didn't participate, so you can't be a winner. Another scam with their origins in Africa - some rich guy died  or was killed. He didn't leave an heir. Somehow the trustees have zeroed in on you as the beneficiary. Send all such mails to the trash bin without batting a lid. Not only are they interested in your bank account No. from which they hope to swindle off your savings, you could also invite some virus by inadvertently clicking on the link to some website provided therein. One more thing - you could land in serious trouble too. You never know what these people are actually up to or their true identities.

  9. Yeah, it's signed by a Doctor, right?  What sort of "doctor" runs the lottery.

Also he gives a yahoo email address - he can give out a million but can't afford doctorlotto@lottodoctor.co.uk ?

If you didn't enter, you can't win.

  10. i do receive same mails from uk lottery & so on. but they are fake & dont provide details in it.

  11. It is a pure scam and never believe on that contant and please never disclose your bank account and other details.

Be safe from all your credentials and information.

All information furnished to you is incorrect and false.

  12. if you never entered into a certain lottery, then this is a scam. the only lottery that you can enter is a local one. one junk mail to the trash section...

  13. If you didn't enter any lottery then yes.  My step dad gets them all the time XD

It's a way to steal your identity >.>  Just throw it in the trash.
