I have giutar and i want to learn how to play and maybe get lessons but if i dont teach my self would that me?

i have a guitar and i want to learn how to play i might get lessons but by not teaching my self would that make me a bad musican??

no way. i've actually tried for, like, EVER to teach myself how to play the guitar.  its wayyy too hard.

besides, lots of great musicians out there took guitar lessons.

Not if you can learn it on your own.  There are many great musicians that are/were self-taught.  Get a good beginners book and start learning.
